Hey, I'm Kelsey, And I can't Wait to Capture your Story
Where to even begin? First of all, I’m so happy you’re here! I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in northwest Iowa (and available for travel!). I’ve been doing this for over five years now and I couldn’t be more grateful to call this my “job” because it truly never feels like work.
I’m inspired by love and by life itself. I believe that having photographs to document the highs, the lows, and everything in between is the best way to celebrate this beautiful thing called life. Whether you just got engaged, it’s your wedding day, or you’re about to begin your senior year of high school, these moments matter. And your future self will be thankful that you took the time to document them.
So what is it like to work with me? Well, we’ll email or text back and forth a bit planning your session. I’ll help you pick out outfits and our location(s) to bring your vision to life. Then, we’ll shoot and I’ll give you poses and direction to help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I’ll probably make you run around and move in awkward ways because that’s what makes you laugh, and when you laugh, your most genuine self comes out.
My goal is to create photos that make memories come to life. I want you to have pretty photos, but more importantly, I want you to have photos that make you FEEL. That make you remember exactly how you felt, how you looked, what was going on in a particular moment. I love a mixture of posed and candid photos, and a mixture of serious and playful. My editing style leans more on the light side, with true to life colors and a hint of warmth. I love to experiment with trendy edits here and there, but ultimately I want your photos to withstand the test of time and still be meaningful to you years down the road.

Fun Facts About Me
1. I grew up on a farm outside of a small town and because of that I’ve always loved spending time outdoors! When I was younger all my free time was spent in the barn or riding horse.
2. I loveee neutrals. If I could choose white as my favorite color (I guess why can’t I?) that would probably be my choice lol. I’m all about a simple and minimalist vibe!
3. I got my first camera way back in 2011 and I’ve loved taking photos ever since!
